| Paul J Bolland Architect and The Bolland Studio are two interlinked businesses headed by Paul Bolland. I am a sole proprietor architect registered in the Province of Ontario. In addition I work as a professional sculptor/artist. My work is almost exclusively in the area of sacred space and sacred art. Over the last several years, I have worked with countless religious groups, pastors, parish committees and parishioners as they work to create or modify churches and sacred space. The range of projects has directly and indirectly included my work as a liturgical design consultant and an architectural programming consultant for church spaces. (This proposal includes the work of the Architectural Programming Consultant as I see the liturgical design and programming work as interlinked. The product of the process outline herein, would include a concise written architectural program suitable for giving directly to the selected architectural firm.)
For this office and studio, liturgical design starts out as an idea that comes to its fruition in the buildings, objects and artwork that result. The work of this office is comprehensive including architecture (both new buildings, additions and renovations), interior design, commissioned artwork, furniture design, lighting plans, etc.
